Dbag is an innovative and sustainable food box carrier to solve the prevalent issue of disposable to-go food packaging. It utilises used denim fabric and natural pebbles to serve as food box carrier. With Dbag, we thrive to significantly reduce the usage of paper bags by office workers in cities.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

As an office worker in bustling New York City, I've observed the massive amount of waste generated by disposable paper bags each day. Office workers routinely use paper bags to transport their disposable food boxes and containers from restaurants to their desks for lunch and dinner. Sadly, these paper bags are often discarded into trash bins after being used for one time, resulting in significant and unnecessary waste.

INTRODUCING Dbag

Dbag, a durable food box holder made with cycled denim and natural pebble, is designed precisely to combat the excessive use of disposable paper bags.

It consists two denim fabric pieces that are sealed at the bottom. Four strips pass through a pebble via four jagged perforations to provide enough friction. The pebble can be moved up and down along the denim strips for length adjustment. By simply moving the pebble along the denim, people can effortlessly adjust Dbag to fit containers of various sizes.

To carry a food box using Dbag, place it beneath the pebble and align its bottom with Dbag’s base. Then, adjust the pebble along the denim to secure the box in place—simple yet effective. Furthermore, Dbag's flexible form allows each carriage for any food box or container, making it a convenient companion for on-the-go dining.

Denim gives it a stylish appearence and strong durability. Cleaning is a breeze too, as Dbag can be effortlessly disassembled and washed. In addition, Demible features two small handles on one side, perfect for holding disposable cutlery.
